About the podcast
This is a podcast to dedicated to Akira Kurosawa and his contemporaries. Joel and Spencer pair a Kurosawa film with another Japanese film from that same year. Whether or not you're a lover of Mr. Kurosawa, it doesn't matter. They are not film experts. They are friends hanging out and chatting about Japanese movies and James Hong and whatever else comes up.
The boys discuss the life and career of Yasujiro Ozu. Topics discussed: Good Morning (1959), Silent films, Tommy Boy, High Noon, Taxi Driver, and Pineapple Parties.
